Dr. Bilchik and His Colleagues at Saint John’s Have a Medical Discussion

Dr. Wilson, the foremost urologic oncologist and robotic surgeon at Saint John’s Cancer Institute, finally gets a colonoscopy after a scare when a Cologuard test came back positive for colon cancer. After his experience with the Digestive Health Institute’s experts, Dr. Rudy Bedford, and Dr. Anton Bilchik, Dr. Wilson decides to interview his peers to talk about potential pitfall of delaying a colon cancer screening.

In this episode, we discuss colonoscopies, cancerous polyps, preventative actions, the difficulties of scheduling a doctor with a few doctor jokes thrown in for good measure. The hardest part of a colonoscopy test is the prep work, and if more people realized how quick and easy the procedure is, it wouldn’t be stigmatized as much as it is today. Assuming you’re healthy, you won’t need another test for 10 years.

Dr. Bilchik speaks from experience, and have worked with one of these colleagues for 30 years! That’s why these doctors are qualified to talk about the future of medicine, and how funding and research should be triaged. Watch our video or click here for the full story.
