New Study Shows Coffee Associated With Longer Life

Drinking Coffee May Lead to Longer Life

After a recent study published by the Annals of Internal Medicine, people might be saying “a cup of coffee a day, will keep the doctor away” because new research suggests that coffee may help you live longer. Two separate studies were conducted and resulted in the following:

  • The highest coffee-consumption group also had the lowest rate of mortality – a study in which more than 520,000 people in 10 different European countries were examined
  • People who drank two to four cups of coffee a day had an 18% lower risk of death – a study in which more than 185,000 African Americans, Native Americans, Hawaiians, Japanese-Americans, Latinos, and Caucasians
